About Public Access |
The Public Access Television Corporation is a 501(c)3 not-for-profit service organization created by the incorporated villages. PATC provides television equipment and studio facilities free of charge on a first-come, first-serve basis to residents (membership, PATC training and residency in an incorporating village is necessary) of Great Neck and North Shore who wish to create non-commercial community programming for the cable channel. Funding for PATC is provided through cable television franchise fees, memberships and grants.

Did you know that 300 unique, original programs-over 2,300 hours- are produced annually at the Public Access Television Corporation (PATC) by local volunteers from teens to seniors? Running the gamut from informative to entertaining and provocative, PATC-produced programs are responsive to the community's needs.....your needs. That's what earned PATC the 2000 Folio Award for Outstanding Long Island Programming for Public Affairs for our video, "Landmarking: Saving the Past for the Future."
